Block of the Month Project

Janelle will be teaching an absolute beginner's class, no knowledge of paper piecing is assumed.  To make it even more appealing, we will have sewing machines available for the class!  You may of course bring your machine, but if you are willing to share then just come ready to sew!

Fee:  $15

Date:  Thursday, June 17, 6-8:30pm.

Chains of Hope

Teacher:  April West

April teaches this bright and easy quilt from the book “Spectacular Rectangles.”  This is a chance to learn basic curved piecing without being intimidated.  Class meets from 12:30-4:30, giving you lots of time to practice and perfect your technique.

Fee:  $20 plus book

Date:  Saturday, June 5th, 12:30-4:30pm.

Finishing Your Quilt

Teacher:  Lisa Caryl

You have a completed pieced quilt top:  Now what?  Lisa will help you through the machine finishing process.  This includes which quilting design to use, how to mark your quilt, machine settings for quilting, and actually begin quilting.  Then meet again the next week to review and bind your quilt.  Note:  Although freemotion quilting is mentioned, this class does not cover details of freemotion techniques.

Fee:  $20 for both nights

Date:  Tuesday, June 8th and Tuesday, June 15th, 6-9pm.

Folk Art Floral: Hand Applique with Angela Lawrence

You’ve probably heard of Angela, she is known all around for her fun teaching style, awesome patterns, and her needleturn magic.  Come learn from the best on the fourth Monday night of each month…We will do block 3 in May but Angela will catch you up quick.  The day class meets from 1-4pm, and the evening class from 6-9pm.  Learn a new skill and overcome needleturn-phobia, plus lots of help for fabric selection!

Fee:  $135 for all nine classes (seven remain for $105)

Hooterville

Teacher:  Janelle Swenson

Learn to machine appliqué with a blanket stitch while making these adorable owls.  Make one or a whole bunch, once Janelle shows you how easy it is!  One class filled within a few days of putting the sample up, so a second class is now being offered.

Fee:  $15 plus pattern

Date: Thursday, June 10th, 6-8:30pm.
